I've been thinking of coining a few phrases for a while, and now (after checking with m' posse), I give them to you to hopefully spread throughout the world.

• ecquaintance - Someone you only know through email, IM, chatboards, blogs or other non-personal electronic means. (from electronic and acquaintance)
• email chicken - When someone sends email to a group of people, and at least one person needs to respond, but no one wants to be the first to respond, so they all see how long they can go until someone chickens out and responds.

Feel free to use them, they're released under the GPL, or CC or BSD or whatever this week's cool, "yeah, whatever" license is. If they get popular, I'll patent them later and look for quarters per use... ;)
