I was originally going to use "ept", but I felt that would degrade into a George Carlin routine. Instead, I use one of my favourite pretentious words;
E is for Egregious
Egregious is just one of those fun words (IMO) to let flow off the tongue e-GREE-jus (using my own non-official pronounciation key). We all see the egregious everyday - it's something way beyond bad. Egregious decisions, egregious coworkers, they all surround all of us in this industry. What makes it even more fun is that originally it was a good thing, something that "stood out from the herd". Ain't it funny how good things can become bad, after a time?
Karl wants me to use these in sentences. Personally, I was going to finish each of these with, "Now, try to use that word at work tomorrow." My challenge remains, but here goes my suggestion (yes, it's more than one sentence, don't be such an egregious nignog):
Rewriting Word or Excel to make them completed managed would be such an egregious decision. Why rewrite just for the sake of rewriting? You can get even more of a benefit by adding features and exposing a managed wrapper.
