Mental note: VMWare Fusion and encryption

Just a mental note: don't encrypt your home folder after creating one or more VMWare Fusion VMs. It seems to corrupt the vmx file, leaving the VM unusable, and forcing you to reinstall, re-apply Windows Update and re-install *everything* again.

Hi there,

This nasty little bug was finally reproduced and fixed in VMware Fusion's 1.1 beta, available now:

http://www.vmware.com/beta/fusion/

It turns out to be a general bug with FileVault, which you can trigger without even using Fusion.
