    I decided to take a break from reading science books[1] and picked up The Year of Living Biblically after seeing the author's TED talk. I have to admit that faith has always been something that intrigues me[2], and AJ Jacobs' quest and writing style helped me understand it a bit more.   • US elections vs. Canadian elections

    One of the things Canadians like to do is to compare themselves to their Southern neighbours (or perhaps it's just me). So, part N of a Y part series on "Differences between 'Mericans and Canadians": While the US election could have been said to start immediately after the last one, it officially started October 2006, when Duncan Hunter announced he was a candidate.
